Also included is information on drug adherence and reasons for non-adherence; self-medication with alternative substances; scientific data on the relative danger of abuse of stimulant medications; and previous vs. current understandings of how these medications work to improve behavior in AD/HD. This program focuses on the various behavioral techniques in use or under investigation for the treatment of AD/HD. A comprehensive treatment program for the disorder is discussed.
