ALLERGIES AND ANAPHYLAXIS
In this program, the pathophysiology of both allergies and anaphylaxis is explained. In addition, common types of allergens such as pollen, weeds, grass, dust mites, molds, animal dander, insect venom, foods, medications, and latex as well as the symptoms associated with each are discussed. Finally, assessment techniques to diagnose specific hypersensitivities are described. 14 minutes

ASTHMA
This program begins with a discussion of the incidence and prevalence of asthma and moves on to describe the triggers and pathophysiology associated with it. The classifications of asthma, ranging from mild-intermittent to severe-persistent are defined. In addition, types of the disorder, including pediatric, adult-onset, exercise-induced, occupational, and nocturnal, as well as the symptoms of each are illustrated. Finally tools for diagnosis of this condition are explained. 17 minutes

LUNG CANCER
This program begins with a discussion of the incidence, prevalence, and risk factors associated with lung cancer. It then describes the general pathophysiology of the disease and moves on to explain the different subtypes of lung cancer and symptoms seen with each. The program continues with information on various diagnostic tools used for detection and concludes with a summary of potential local and systemic complications resulting from metastasis. 14 minutes
