WHAT DOES NORMAL MEAN?

This compelling film about the "inclusion" of children with disabilities in public schools follows seven children - elementary to high-schoolers - with a broad range of disabilities, over an academic year. Produced by multiple Emmy award winning filmmakers, the children's struggles and triumphs give dramatically clear testimony to the value of equal educational opportunities for all.

The documentary is constructed so that each child's story can be viewed and discussed as a chapter, generating many different teaching and learning issues. Excellent for college students, community programs, advocacy or parent groups, or anyone that wants to see and "feel" how an inclusive change in our schools has made us more aware and thoughtful about potential, difference and about what normal means.
