Unknowingly, healthcare providers may be spreading infection. This program discusses how infections are spread and how the simple act of hand hygiene can have such a large impact. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention hand hygiene guidelines are discussed along with reasons for healthcare workers non-adherence to hand hygiene protocols. Artificial nails, jewelry, and the use of gloves are also discussed.
