Bill Cross, the leading researcher in cultural identity, discusses the movements in society that contributed to President Obama's election: ethnic studies, women's studies, LBGT studies, growth of new immigrant communities, changes in "mainstream" youth culture, and the globalization of Hip Hop. Students and researchers learn about his new identity research including white identity development, enigmatic multicultural identity profiles, microaggressions, analyzing internalized oppression, and intersectionality. This program will help students be on the cutting edge of identity development.
