| BRUNNER AND SUDDARTH'S MEDICAL SURGICAL SERIES (8 Programs on one DVD)
This series helps students bridge the gap between concepts and application by presenting case studies for common complex medical-surgical disorders. Using a nursing-process approach, the cases provide a true-to-life context by which students can better appreciate and understand their course assignments. Each of the eight modules (on one DVD) is 30 minutes and follows a nurse caring for a patient with a particular disorder. The overall series highlights the following aspects of nursing care: * Assessment and Nursing Diagnosis (for the particular disorder) * Implementation (including specific skills associated with the disorder) * Communication * Patient Teaching The modules begin with nurses changing shifts and also shows nurse and patient interaction - ideal to model behavior for students.
