Designed to increase awareness of and develop communication skills for intercultural encounters in health care, this DVD features five realistic patient scenarios that allow viewers to interact in "real time" with a patient. Viewers are prompted to pause the DVD and give a response to the patients’ questions and comments at various stages of the interactions. The DVD also features printable patient histories, transcripts of the scenarios, background information regarding the cultural groups on the DVD as well as a 17-minute lecture about effective cultural communication.
