HOW TO STAY SAFE - DVD
"Safe and Sound," a lively, fast-paced game show, is the setting for this program that teaches youngsters how to stay safe. On-stage contestants answer questions in four key safety categories. Answers are explained to ensure that students understand the importance of obeying basic safety rules.
Safety at Home: Covers such safety concerns as using matches, use of pots and ovens, and handling calls at home that ask them for personal information.
Safety Outdoors: Tests judgment about whether to approach a stray puppy, eat berries off a bush and what to do if they are separated from family when on a hike.
Personal Safety: Addresses safety concerns about, wearing bike helmets and seat belts, crossing the street, taking someone else's medicine and accepting a ride from someone who has been drinking.
Safety and Strangers: Is it safe or unsafe to get close to a stranger's car when he asks for directions, go off with a stranger who says he has been sent by your parent or go with a stranger who offers to let you play with her new puppy?
