LOOKING AT CAREERS: It's Never Too Soon!

What does your personality have to do with choosing a career? This eye-opening program shows middle-school students why understanding your personality preferences is a good place to start when thinking about a career. Vignettes illustrate two sides of four different personality preferences: Extravert / Introvert; Practical / Intuitive; Thinkers / Feelers; and Structured / Unstructured. Viewers then explore an array of careers that might appeal to someone with that personality preference. As the program stresses, it's never too early to start thinking about the future! Give students a jump-start as they look at their personality preferences in relation to possible careers. Information they glean about themselves can help them fashion their high school academic choices.

After viewing this program viewers will:
- Easily identify different personality preferences
- Understand the value of personality in making a successful career "match."
- Recognize that no one preferences is better than another
- Begin to identify the career areas that might appeal to them
