Students will enjoy learning math with Dr. Rock. This engaging, Muppet-like character presents problems and asks students to help him solve them. Your class will learn the basic concepts of addition, subtraction, counting money, fractions, measuring, place value, and shapes in this seven-part series.
Enriching graphics and animations demonstrate ideas and activities concretely, and real-world video segments model the math concepts presented. Questions are included to provide a sense of interactivity and give some structure to the subject matter development.
Interspersed throughout are real-world segments that model the activities and behavior your class will engage in after the show ends. The modeling segments will help viewers transfer ideas from the graphic presentation to their own world.
