SAFE TRANSFERS: Using Proper Techniques and Mechanical Lifts DVD
Medical personnel rank higher than construction workers in lifting-related injuries. Caregivers must lift properly and use proper body mechanics to avoid injury or loss of balance, which could result in injury to themselves or patients/residents. If devices or equipment are available to make the lift easier and safer, they should be used.
