A small group of lawyers at the U.S. Justice Department is pursuing an aggressive crackdown against those business practices, which the World Bank says amount of almost a trillion dollars a year in payments. At the center of this is a controversial, ongoing investigation into the British-based multi-national BAE Systems and allegations about billion dollar bribes.
