HAND HYGIENE (Long-Term Care Version)
Using the latest guidelines called "Hand Hygiene in the Healthcare Setting" released by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) this program provides healthcare workers with the knowledge and hopefully the motivation to accept their individual responsibility to implementing these guidelines to help reduce healthcare-required infections.
Program topics include:
*The most common factors that inhibit good hand hygiene practices
*The rationale for recommending the use of waterless hand rubs
*CDC recommendations for when to use hand rubs and when to use traditional handwashing technique
*A demonstration of proper handwashing technique and using hand rubs.
