DIANE BAKER MASON is a Toronto writer who has published fiction, opinion and poetry, and whose work has won awards in Canada, Australia and the United States. ANTANAS SILEIKA is a freelance broadcaster, journalist and fiction writer. MORLEY TORGOV has been hailed for his sharply realized characters and his own special comic genius. His short pieces have appeared in the New York Times and are widely anthologized. While working full-time as a lawyer with a practice in Toronto, Morley Torgov has published a memoir and four novels, all of which explore Jewish life in small towns. In this program, Mr. Torgov invites us into his home office and regails us with the many stories from his life that have found their way into his humorous best-sellers.

WAYSON CHOY has been teaching Introductory Communications at Humber College for 27 years where he is acknowledged as a "Master Teacher", having influenced thousands of students' lives. Choy describes the necessity of finding one's familial history and relating those memories through the written word.

MARY-LOU SEITOUN is a graduate of the Theatre program at York University (Toronto), the Communications Studies program at Concordia University (Montreal) and the Humber School for Writers. As editor and co-owner of iMPACT from 1992-1996, Canada's national music magazine, she has interviewed numerous rock musicians and cultural icons. Mary-Lou's work has appeared in Elle Canada, Eye Weekly, the National Post, the Globe and Mail, as well as several independent publications and web zines. In this program, Mary-Lou Zeitoun reads from 13, her riveting novel about a feisty young teenager on the verge of womanhood.

TIM O'BRIEN - This spell-binding program includes a rare on-camera conversation with Michael Glassbourg during which Tim O'Brien speaks candidly about the elements in his life that led him both to Viet Nam and to writing. O'Brien also reads a stunning passage from his most recent novel July, July. Tim O'Brien is one of America's greatest writers.
