MY TANGO WITH PORN - DVD
Where does one draw the line in order to protect freedom of speech and art while at the same time not exposing culture to degradation and harm? The maker of this film - Siobhan Devine - inadvertently finds herself on a government film board and is shocked by the quantity and explicitness of the sex-oriented material she is being asked to review. After her initial reaction of revulsion and disbelief, she decides to use her own abilities as a filmmaker to investigate, examine and record her experiences in an attempt to understand...
Who is using this stuff and why are people allowed to make it? What effect is it having on men who watch it and on their relationships with women? On people who make a living from producing or selling it? Should people be stopped from watching it? Who is going to decide? Can pornography be art? Can artistic license be limited? Is society suffering from its availability? This may be a liberal feminist's nightmare but it serves up many questions that require careful consideration in a society seriously divided on matters of morals, values, freedom and responsibility.
